Our expertise is frequently called upon to treat facade cladding. These include façades with flat or profiled cladding panels, where materials such as (non-)ferrous or plastic have been used. The reason for treating facade cladding comes from problems with the substrate, such as visible degradation in the form of discolouration and chalking, rust, delamination and edge peeling (detachment that often occurs from the cut edges), but also restyling such as a change in house style. A wise decision: preventive maintenance, with a durable paint system, extends the life of a property and contributes to the image of a company or brand.
BICCS delivers a suitable 1- or 2-component application, water-based or synthetic, for every substrate, ranging from a single-layer paint system (direct to metal) to a multi-layer (duplex) system, taking into account geographical location, according to NEN-EN-ISO 12944-II to corrosion category C2 (low) to C5 (very high).
BICCS is distinctive in colour development and gloss determination for partial repairs to a facade, for example. After some time, the colour of the cladding has faded and the gloss has decreased. BICCS assesses the situation on site tocome to an appropriate advice regarding pre-treatment and paint system. The paint system is then fully matched to the colour scheme and gloss level of the existing cladding, so that a uniform image emerges after restoration. We also provide our customers with suitable advice for complete metamorphoses.
